Sheila Barns
Sheila Barns lived in Durrington and was 6 years old when the
war started. Her father was in the Fire Service and stayed at home.
Sheila remembers evacuees, rationing and going to the beach even
though it was closed. She also remembers air raids on Worthing and
Prisoners of War.
