Geoff Hilder
Geoff Hilder was 11 when the war started and lived in Crawley.
He left school on his 14th birthday and worked as a telegraph boy
which meant he had to deliver a lot of bad news. Geoff talks about
the bombing of Crawley Post Office and seeing a German plane shot
down. His father was an Air Raid Warden.
