Cynthia Bacon
Cynthia Bacon was a child during the war and lived near the
aerodrome at Shoreham-by-Sea. She was sent to Horsham for six
months because of the fear of invasion. Her family also had
evacuees staying with them who came from Purley near Croydon. Her
father was in the Home Guard and her mother was an Air Raid
Warden.
