Introducing transport
This Activity gives an overview of the different ways people
could travel in Victorian times, and illustrates the rapid
development of new forms of transport as new technologies were
developed.
It could be used as homework, or a short classroom task, before
the other Transport topics are studied.
Children study the sources and answer the questions on the
Activity Sheet, which includes all 18 sources.
If full-size copies of the sources are required, they are
available in the Transport section of the Source gallery.
