Learning activities
No specific learning activities have been outlined for the Town
Trails, which are designed to help children explore local Victorian
buildings and learn about typical features of Victorian
architecture.
The Source gallery includes
modern photographs of Victorian buildings still existing, and maps
indicating the sites of the buildings featured. The architectural
features illustrated will help children to recognise Victorian
buildings in their own town or local area.
Many more images of buildings from this period are available on
the website West Sussex Past
Pictures. One way to source images from your local area on the
westsussexpast site: click on Search the Database, then type the
following into the search box: architecture/period/victorians
followed by the name of your town - for
example, 'architecture/period/victorians Crawley'.
